Research

I have worked on 3 separate research projects with the ReNEWED research group since I joined the lab in September of 2020. For one of these projects, I completed a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) during Summer 2021 on Purdue's campus. My 3 research projects are listed below with brief descriptions. A paper I contributed to for one of these projects has been accepted for publication recently as well. Please contact me with any questions or if you'd like to discuss my work more!

Research Project Summaries

Wearable Cellulose-Based Device Development* | September 2020 - January 2022

This project's objective is to develop p-type and n-type cotton threads that will be integrated into human friendly devices, facilitating research into innovative transistors and diodes for these devices.

*Awarded H. William Bottomley Research Scholarship at Purdue University

Co-Flow Method Micrometer Scale Channel Manufacturing | March 2021 - December 2021

This project's objective is to develop a reliable and high resolution additive manufacturing process for microtechnology, including designing and testing a 3D printed resin formula. With this small scale process, the team has focused on viscosity and curing time optimization of the resin formula and has completed testing of the printing process.

Phase-Change Polymer Development | January 2021 - March 2021

This project's objective is create a large-scale demonstration for a phase-change cellulose material, encouraging its use in conserving buildings' energy by blocking a portion the heat transmitted by sunlight, thus increasing the efficiency of buildings' temperature control systems.
